About

Founded in 2018 by a group of Hudson residents concerned about environmental issues ranging from recycling to conservation and energy policy, Green Hudson seeks to help the town become more environmentally friendly, through outreach, education, and direct action.

We are primarily focused on local projects that enhance and beautify Hudson, as well as make our community more energy efficient and resistant to the likely effects of climate change. Our past activities have included:

  • Twice annual clean-up days
  • Information booths at Hudson Fest, Rec Fest, and the Volunteer Fair
  • Participation with Sustainable Stow in the Mass HeatSmart program
  • Conducting a survey and report of manufacturing business in the Watershed Protection District
  • Advocating for a reduction in Hudson’s consumption of single use and hazardous plastics
  • Improve opportunities for heat pump and solar installation rebates in Hudson
  • Improve recycling and conservation in Hudson
  • Increase knowledge around the importance of local action to prevent human-driven climate change.

All are welcome to join Green Hudson’s monthly meetings which feature: speakers, conversation, planning, and reporting on active projects.  Green Hudson currently meets online using Google Meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 6pm.  Join our Facebook group or sign-up for our announcements for the latest information.
